Persuasive letter

Persuasive Letter

                                                                                      Doyon Kim

Dear. Parents who have kids

I'm writing this letter because I believe that parents should not let their kids to play with smartphones. Many experts like Dr. Justin Coulson and Mr. Park ( smartphone expert), for example agree with me. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.
The first reason is because it isn't good for kids' brain's development. There are statistics to show this is true.  According to the reserach done by Prof. Lee, kids using smartphone consistently had late brain development.

The second reason is because it causes problem to kids' eyesight and eyes. There are facts to show this is true. It has been discovered that kids who use smartphone consistently had
decreased visual acuity and dry eye.

The final reason is because it causes many troubles like finger arthritis, forward head posture and carpal tunnel syndrome after they grow up. There is data to show this is true. According to research, using smartphone causes finger arthritis, forward head posture and carpal tunnel syndrome.

carpal tunnel syndrome (http://www.anewsa.com/detail.php?number=523467&thread=09r02)

As you can see, letting kids use smartphones are not good for kids. Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view parents shouldn't let their kids use smartphones, because it causes many problems to their kids.

Sincerely,

Doyon Kim.

  1. Well the thing is that if you have statistics, you should actually present them in your argument (for example, 60% of children who use smartphones develop arthritis) and then give your sources, rather than have the reader have to go to your links to actually see the data.
